STR Compliance Inspections
Several Coachella Valley cites require owners of managed vacation properties (STR) to provide a pool compliance statement with initial applications and then every five years.
This inspection must be conducted by California State Licensed Contractor with one of the following licenses:
California Electrical Contractor (License C-10)
Pool and Spa Maintenance Contractor (License D-35
California Pool Contractor (License C-53)
This inspection checks for:
grounding per CEC article 680.6
receptacles within 20 feet of pool or spa are GFCI protected per CEC article 680.22(4)
GFCI in branch circuit supplying lights per CEC article 680.23 (3)
All branch circuit supplying pump motors are GFCI protected per CEC 680.21 (C)
